Definition

A collective is a project which collects resources to be used by one or more specific agents, or types of agent.

Notes

Collectives include all formal and informal organizations which collect resources of any type.  Collectives govern all official commons, and govern many networks.

Many teams are technically collectives, but they're often sub-collectives, and can be accurately referred to as subprojects.

Each group agent is either a collective or (more frequently) a component of a collective.  However, many collectives rarely if ever use group agents in any officially recognized contexts.

Collectives often serve many agents in many ways, although they often include bureaucracies of personal coercive authority, and can even include inherently violent relationships.  For example, an army which roams and pillages territories is a collective.  In contrast, a nonprofit volunteer organization which creates charitable commons is also a collective.
