GNOME Commander on Wikipedia

There is a page comparing file managers at wikipedia.org, where GCMD

See the

are of course very welcome to edit the GNOME Commander page at wikipedia. Other languages than English are also available.

An article at LinuxInsider
by Jack M. Germain from April 28, 2010:

As a file manager, Gnome Commander has the look and feel of early workhorses like Norton Commander and Midnight
Commander. Among its many talents, Gnome Commander is a life-saver when it comes to synchronizing files. Something I wish were
available in more apps I use is the ability to do advanced renaming of files, and GC does this with support for various types of
meta-data.

An article from October 2008 at linux-magazine.com by Christian Meyer gives a
nice introduction to GNOME Commander. After presenting major features and comparing GNOME Commander with the default GNOME file

Midnight Commander, you will have no trouble at all moving to Gnome Commander.

File managers For Linux

An article at Linux.com from February 24, 2005, by Michael M. Murphree, testing, comparing and
reviewing a lot of different file managers for Linux systems. About GNOME Commander he writes:

GNOME Commander offers a much smaller footprint and a more polished GUI than do FileRunner and gentoo.
It provides the more typical tool bar and menu system, in addition to mapping buttons to each function key. It
also provides a command history, capacity for multiple predefined FTP sessions, and file search. The most
interesting feature that I found was the advanced rename tool, which allows you to quickly rename multiple
files using regular expressions, counters, and case matching. I was disappointed that the user manual did not
install properly, particularly since key combinations did not match those for Midnight Commander. It still struck
me a a compact, polished file manager, especially suitable for those running the GNOME desktop.

not say much about the following article
from nerohelp.info, which gives

Unfortunately, the article refers to <abbr title="GNOME
