Hello.
Geany is used from the repository on ubuntu 18.04 (not ppa, in ppa not at all for 18.04). Geany was compiled from source and compiled into a package from 1.34.

How can I save all settings and transfer to the new version geany?

Previously, the settings were stored in /usr/share/geany.
A simple transfer of the settings did not give anything - I do not see them applied. Reload settings in geany itself did not help.

Geany stores configuration on Linux in $HOME/.config/geany although you can specify another directory using the -c option. If you upgrade Geany it should "Just Work".

P.S. Generally it's better to use the mailing list to ask questions as the Issue tracker is for tracking bugs/improvements rather than asking questions.

@codebrainz

Thank you for helping transfer settings for $HOME/.config/geany.

I apologize, did not know!
