Hi,
is there a way (command/plugin/hack, etc.) to make Geany search in all the files below the project root folder, even if the files are closed. I am using it under GNU/Linux.

menu->search->find in files?

hum hum... Was stuck on Ctrl +F ... 😄

I have just needed to add "-r1" to grep tool in the prefs, to be able to search in sub-folders and it worked great !

There's a search recursively in sub-foldes checkbox option in that dialog ;)
