This is a great idea. I have been thinking about something similar when developing the GUIs for the geemap toolbar. This kind of widget can indeed be developed for general use. Most of the existing geemap GUI tools are designed for dealing with Earth Engine data. GUIs for dealing with client-side data (e.g., GeoJSON) are still lacking. It would be nice to have a module/package with reusable widgets like the one you showed. One thing to keep in mind is that data can come in various forms with unknown attributes. It might be challenging to develop widgets linked with data that can work out of box. 54_vector_vis_demo.mp4 |

I like the toolbar approach in geemap, and see a lot of potential for reusable styling and configuration components in pure Python if there would be some kind of MVC pattern at work (maybe there is). I've attached a sample clip showing a GeoJSON styling widget I wrote. There could be some collection of such widgets for ipyleaflet which seems to struggle with supporting more or less weird or undocumented Leaflet features. Where possible these could be more general and not apply only to geemap (like in my example). Any opinions?
