CURL ssl support

Currently when making a call via curl (Laravel HTTP client) to a valet secured site I get an exception

cURL error 60: SSL certificate problem: self-signed certificate 
(see https://curl.haxx.se/libcurl/c/libcurl-errors.html) 
for https://example.test/.....

Would it be possible to add secured site certs to the php curl?
Maybe via ini curl.cainfo?
