TTS does not continue running in background

Hi! I've noticed that the TTS plugin stops reading once I switch to another app or lock the screen. This is not very good as those seem to be the two most logical use cases.

Also, there is the minor flaw that when TTS starts text is dimmed and the TTS interface overlays it, which actually seems to rule out the third possible use case.
