Plugin won't update (to 3.3.1)

I'm not really sure if this is a bug or a problem with my configuration so please pardon me in case I'm missing something here but I'm trying to update the login plugin to latest but it seems to not update. It returns an error as shown in the screenshot below:

rmdir(/var/www/grav/user/plugins/login) directory not empty

Would removing the directory through ssh help in this case?

For anyone else facing this issue, just download the repo through ssh and replace with the existing plugin folder. that should get the update done for you.
