So I'm a big fan of this extension, but I've noticed recently that -- although it does fix the aspect ratio in the zoom browser implementation still -- other viewers will see my camera output as entirely black (they say they just see my name).

I'm using Brave 109.1.47.186 if that helps. Happy to live debug this if you are around!

That's interesting and unusual... I use it regularly with zoom and haven't had that complaint. I only use it with Chrome though, not Brave. Hmm....

If you get a chance, on the next zoom call, where the black camera feed is happening, can you try disabling the extension and reconnecting to the call, and seeing if your video comes back?

One theory I have is that possibly Zoom (the service) or Zoom Clients might be refusing an HD video feed -- like they're only willing to accept a lower quality feed.
