Kramdown fails to escape | in inline math mode

Hello, I hope this is the appropriate venue for reaching the people working on kramdown.

This text \Pr(D|(a,d)) renders properly as:

$$ \Pr(D|(a,d)) $$

but not as $\Pr(D|(a,d))$.

I am currently using $\Pr(D\vert(a,d))$ inline as a workaround, but it would be great if this can be fixed.
