Remove Special Effects functionality

Description

The special effects functionality and it isn't in the best state. By now, the Sequencer module provides a much better experience, so instead continuing to maintain the functionality here, it should be removed and users should use Sequencer instead for this kind of functionality.

Context

This is a breaking change and warrants a new major version.
