Something is weird around the time settings. Not sure exactly what, should 
check robustness of start, stop, and frequency settings.

Turns out that when upgrading from 1.2 to 2.0, the settings are not properly 
read, so the default was used which was "0" for both start and end -- i.e., it 
would ring throughout the night. New defaults match those in the 
preferences.xml, i.e. match what would be offered by the system when first 
activating the bell.
