This will be a little different from the rest because a lot of it can be done on the wiki which doesn't require pull requests. Here's the list of things that were on the Roadmap that we'd like to see happen for Documentation.

  • Explain basic usage (wait until menus are ready)
  • Explain overrides (page is up)
  • Formally address project goals
  • Explain how to get started (pre-release usage is described)
  • Issue templates
  • Credits
  • License

I'm moving the remaining items for this to a new issue under a separate project and will consider most of them targeted to Second Release.

The last item remaining here (Explain basic usage) should be more geared towards how to use DS once we merge the menus into master.

Last item here (basic usage with GUI) is now ready to be handled as the GUI has been merged into master!

Generally speaking we want people to run the GUI, then choose install, let it do it's thing and reboot, then run the GUI again and choose configure apps. The menu is currently NOT setup in that order (up for discussion) but if they skip install it's OK because it'll be handled anyway (but install is still good to run).

I completed the last box (basic usage with menus) and preserved the former information on a new page linked from the original. This could be cleaned up in the future but should work for now.
