Firefox Support #6
Comments
I actually published v1.2 but it seems that it was unpublished by the staff. I've put it up again. |
I'd also really like to see this on Firefox |
@gigobyte any idea why it was unpublished? Recently switched over to firefox and miss this extension a lot. |
I never managed to publish it, they took it down because it inserts "unsafe" html into the page. |
@gigobyte If the extension still technically works with Firefox, could you upload a packaged .xpi or .zip so that we could manually install it from the file? |
This is one of my favorite extensions on Chrome, it's a shame it's not available on Firefox. @gigobyte what "unsafe" html do you insert into the page? |
@PierBover A lot of time has passed since I last worked on this extension, but from the top of my head the extension code doesn't have access to the window object of the page, so this extension inserts a script tag into the body and then that script tag inserts the result into the html so that the extension can read it. |
Aaand after another attempt it was approved! Guess they changed their policy 2 years later 😄 https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ui-stack-inspect/ |
Thanks @gigobyte ! |
@PierBover No problem, I'll try to resolve some of the Firefox-specific issues like the double linking and the font soon, but other than that it seems to work fine. |
Apparently the extension has been removed... |
Yeah, they don't like it. |
With the new web extension api, ui-stack also works with firefox 57+ without any change.
Only the font-family defaults to serif.
Consider releasing this extension on https://addons.mozilla.org/ too.
PS: Will the addon be updated to v1.2 on Chrome store soon? Still is at v1.1.
