Per opengeos/leafmap#142 (comment) @deeplook, I am changing the default map view to be a global view rather than a U.S. view. This applies to all plotting backends, including folium and ipyleaflet.

This feature has been implemented. The default map is now Map(center=[20, 0], zoom=2)
