3D projects like games or simulation use both binary assets and script files. The binary files can't be merged, they need locking. It would be great to forget SVN and manage everything in Git. Can we count on it in the near future?
What is the best local git LFS server implementation, if anyone has experience with it? we need to set a local ec2 LFS storage while keeping main repo files in github, the support in github said it's possible. Cant gitbucket be used as a simple local LFS server? 🤩
and we need lock feature too, no idea if supported, please share some ideas if you've figured it out over the years? 🙏 (lol don't ask me how I ended up in this 6 year old thread, long story 🤣)
Question: from what I understand, Git LFS v2 introduced file locks. Does GitBucket support this feature yet?
