How to reproduce

Last tested with GB v0.11.1

  • clone the linux kernel locally, possibly like so: git clone git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git
  • add the newly cloned directory as project

If this never happened before happened, the GUI will now show nothing for a long time, until all gravatar images have been loaded in the background.

It seems like list-virtual-branches is incredibly slow, due to the usage of mergebase computation on a large history. It seems to (have to?) consider too many commits on a graph with more than one million of them.
