I find myself typing the same directory over and over when cloning repos. It would be very comfortable to have a setting that sets the destination directory automatically.

An alternative might be to preserve the last used destination.

I agree, we should allow specify default directory. It should be used in Clone, Clone SVN repository, Clone GitHub repository, Init repository, Open, Fork and clone
