These were copy-pasted verbatim into preformat blocks, and need to be viewed with soft-wrap to be readable without horizontal scrolling. A few options:

  1. Preformat statute text with linebreaks, indentation
  2. Markdown format statute text with as much fidelity to original as possible
  3. Format statute text with HTML blocks within the markdown
  4. Change the agreement source format from markdown to something else, probably HTML or ODT/DOCX
  5. Do nothing, keeping copying verbatim is a win and viewers should soft-wrap, and most real users will use a version copied into a more traditional document format anyway

Fixed by #32, which implements (2) above with less trouble than I expected.
