Fonts do not show in settings menu for IntelliJ IDEA

I switched from Mac to Windows 10 Enterprise, with IntelliJ IDEa Ultimate 2024.1

I tried installing both the OTF and the variable fonts, but they do not show up in the menu of available fonts.

I can switch to Microsoft Word and I see the OTF fonts just fine and they work, so I know they got installed.

I followed advice on another issue to install for all users. This made them show up, but ligatures couldn't be activated

Unfortunately IntelliJ IDEa does not currently support stylistic sets for fonts, which prevents you from being able to activate Monaspace's ligatures. It seems that this feature is in progress on their end, but in the meantime, you can use a tool like FontFreeze to force the ligatures you want to have enabled by default.
