Technical information

Using version:

  • master (running from GitHub-published source code, currently v2.2.8-pre)
  • latest (latest release, currently v2.2.7)
  • vX.X.X (specify other version)

Running on:

  • Linux
  • Windows
  • macOS

How comfortable you are with your system and/or IT in general:

  • I'm kind of lost, honestly
  • I know what's up, I could help you run some commands or checks
  • My machine is fully under my control, tell me what you need
  • I attended Defcon last year

Problem

(Write your report here. Screenshots and step-by-step instructions can help a lot!)

It is using A LOT of cpu like in the pictures:

Same here.
Edex ui 2.2.7 eats up all cpu in win10.
GitSquared mentioned in another thread that this problem is known and he has to release an update. This was 20march I think. Nothing happened so far. Probably he hasn't had any time to do it.

Edit: it was the 24th of June.

#1114

A solution from a user was to use the pre2.2.8
..... Unfortunately I wasn't able to find it here.
Could someone help me out?
Cheers.

It is unusable for win10 people.

Not entirely, but yeah, wontfix for now (it works on most machines, win10 included). Announcement/update soon, sorry for the lack of answers and clarity.

This definitely has high CPU usage. It clearly shows that edex is consuming the CPU and no other programs. Even i7 processor with 3.4 ghz is not sufficient. Its looks awesome but due to high CPU usage it's unusable.
