My point would be to change text color based on brightness of the background area, as follow : http://jsfiddle.net/PXJ2C/
Is there any chroma.js method to do so ? chroma(color).darken(5)); could be used but it is not exactly what I want.
chroma(color).darken(5));
Thanks

I'm looking for the equivalent of this:
https://github.com/qix-/color#luminosity
Sorry, something went wrong.
Something like color.luminance() > 0.4 ? Chroma("#000") : Chroma("#fff")?
color.luminance() > 0.4 ? Chroma("#000") : Chroma("#fff")
yes, or color.get('lab.l') < 0.5
color.get('lab.l') < 0.5
