eventtools depends on convenient, and this is not listed anywhere. Likewise, convenient says it's deprecated, but eventtools still uses it..

Some documentation seems to be in order

Moreover, convenient seems to have been deleted, and this code still uses it

I just found the deprecation mesage to icx versions
