Problem description

Cards are not regenerated if the syntax is entered directly.
Cards are only regenerated if the syntax is created via the key combination "command + shift + c".

I was reviewing a card on my iPad like so.

When: [[oc2::1978]]
Book: [[oc3::The Mindful Brain ]]
Article: [[oc4::An Organizing Principle for Cerebral Function: The Unit Module and the Distributed System]]

I edited it like so on the iPad to break the 4th deletion into 2 separate ones.

Back on the mac I tried to regenerate the cards in the browser using "Generate overlapping cloze" button on the toolbar as instructed by the video.

They regenerated, but the 5th card was not included even though the syntax was specified correctly.

If I removed the syntax, and then put it back by using "command + shift + c", the 5th card generated correctly.

It seems that "command + shift + c" is doing something beyond adding syntax.

Is there an alternative way to force the syntax to be re-read before regenerating the cards?
