Highlighting missed words

Problem case

If I search d_g, Anki will find cards with dig or dug, etc., but the add-on does not highlight dig, dug, etc., in those cards.
If I search d*g, Anki will find cards with dung, ding, etc., but the add-on does not highlight ding, dung, etc., in those cards.
Add-on just highlight the exact cases (last image)
