Tried code in issue 150 but browser does not load md anymore for the Remark. (I added JS alert in macro and md showed in the popup, so macro is working). Console is warning only:

Synchronous XMLHttpRequest on the main thread is deprecated because of its detrimental effects to the end user's experience. For more help, check https://xhr.spec.whatwg.org/.

Any ideas how to get things work again?

The most recent release, 0.14.0, fixes this issue. Did you try that one?
