Debian deprecated use of which command

To Reproduce
Open terminator in Debian with debianutils/5.0-1

Debian/sid, debianutils/5.0-1

Additional context
essence:

.SH DEPRECATION
Since type and command -v were mandated by POSIX, this utility is no longer
useful for maintainer scripts and thus will be removed from debianutils.

didn't find any execution of which in the code. Could be Debian-only issue, not related to Terminator at all
