I'd like to second this feature request.
For many years I have been using Xee as a fast and lightweight image viewer for macOS.
Xee offers the same lossless JPEG transformations as Phoenix Slidesplus "lossless" crop.
It's extremely convenient for a number of use cases.
I wonder if this lossless crop is in fact something that's also directly supported by jpegtran.
If so the implementation of this feature might in fact not be too difficult, apart from the UI part.
A little more background: Xee was a long-time favorite for macOS user but is now unsupported, with bugs and incompatibilities with latest OS versions getting worse. It still works -- sort of -- but users like me are always and actively looking for possible alternatives to get off the sinking boat.
From what I can see Phoenix Slides is an almost perfect replacement, targeting pretty much the same use cases.
The only missing feature I can see right now is the lossless crop this ticket is asking for.
And yes, I would definitely pay for a supported and maintained version of Phoenix Slides... :)
the jpegtran library used by Phoenix Slides should support Lossless Crop
but there is apparently no Mac-Program, that has an GUI for Lossless Crop.
Lossless Crop could be an Unique and outstanding feature for Phoenix Slides.
so if you want to add features to Phoenix Slides please consider Lossless Crop as an option.
