Thanks for sharing your add-on. As far as I see it's only available for the old version 2.0. Will you upgrade it to 2.1?

Background:

Anki 2.0 is a Python2/PyQt4/QtWebkit application. PyQt4/QtWebkit have not been officialy supported for years. So about one year ago a new version named Anki 2.1 was released which is built with Python3/PyQt5/QtWebEngine. Besides this it contains very few changes [1].

The first public test release for this new version was over two years ago. In the meantime nearly all popular add-ons for 2.0 have been ported to 2.1. Your add-on is one of the popular add-ons that is not yet available for 2.1, see this list I recently made.[2]

I think you would help many people if your add-on were available for 2.1. This request is not just based on the number of reviews on ankiweb but also from what I saw in the anki subreddit (e.g. from today) or in the official forum (e.g. in May).

Your add-on seems to depend on the other add-on Japanese Support which is already available for 2.1. Upgrading add-on to 2.1 has become very relevant because only lately many users of 2.0 get messages to upgrade to 2.1.

For changes that results from the change to QtWebEngine see https://apps.ankiweb.net/docs/addons.html#webview-changes

If you don't plan to upgrade to 2.1 could you update the readme? This way another person could fork and release it - few people want to fork without approval from the original author. But I really hope that you do the update because there's a sore lack of add-on creators who update orphaned add-ons.

Thanks for your time and once more for your sharing your add-on.

[1] One change is that add-ons now need a different file/folder structure which allows automatic updating of add-ons. Usually that means that you just have to rename a file.
[2] A few popular ones have not been ported yet. For most of these the add-on creator glutanimate recently publicly stated that he's working on updates.

Thank you for the message, and sorry, I haven't got the time to maintain this add-on further. I welcome any forks, provided they respect the license and credit the original. I'll update the README.
