Information

  • Operating System: Zorin 16.02
  • Gnome Shell Version: 3.38.4
  • Xorg/Wayland?: Xorg
  • Apps tested: It didn't even shown up in my shell.
  • Fildem version: 0.6.7

What is the current behavior?

First I have installed the extension from the website and then I installed the deb file from GitHub. After that I have made 2 files which are gtkrc-2.0 and settings.ini.
Here is how those files looks like.....

And the I had only Fildem Hud in my menu, there wasn't any Fildem.

So I ran Fildem but nothing happen. As you can see below, there is no menu showing up in my shell.

What is the expected behavior?

I expect to see it in my shell. And yes I have Gnome Extension installed in my computer and Fildem in enable there. I have change the setting too. But no luck.

I'm not an expert, but afaik Zorin do some modification to Gnome itself and it's not intended for play around with Gnome themes and extensions. Get a proper Ubuntu installation might help.

Tried it on Zorin 16.3, but not all the supported applications work.

Strongly enough, GIMP exports it's global menu.

I think there is dependencies issues, some libraries that aren't included with the system.
