The test suite was failing on OSX since Mac sed requires an extension to be named for backup files, whereas it is optional for BSD sed

Hi @DeepAnchor, I'm sorry I didn't reply before: I just want to check the issue and I'm not often a Mac user. But don't worry, while it stays open, your PR won't get forgotten! If I can reproduce the error I'll append your fix to the next release, if not I'll come back to you.

Hi @DeepAnchor,

Starting with the v1.5.2 release the steps at fault are no longer used (see #104). The new test suite was written to avoid this kind of issues in the future.

Thanks for reporting this issue (I'll close it now) and doing the research for the fix. Don't hesitate to raise any issue the new tests suite might have!
