Breaks USB serial Connection

I have had this issue with the LCD screens for a while and though id bring it to your attention. The script run for the LCD35-show, no matter what I do to change it, either doesn't work, or it works and breaks all sorts of other settings such as USB serial connection. It happens on Raspberrypi 3, 4 and zero 2w as far as I have tested. Seems the script does more than just load drivers and set display settings if it is messing with and breaking other settings that have nothing to do with the display.
