Is there a way to implement setTimeout? I am using the Q library for using promisses and the library needs the setTimeout function.

Please see the "Is it for me?" FAQ question. The recommendation is to use dependency injection to accept functions like setTimeout from the DOM, injecting mocks in your tests.
