Unable to enroll new devices to GnG loaner portal

Hi there,

We have a user of loaner GnG for over a year with no issues but recently when trying to add new devices we've been having some unexpected behaviour, we're hoping you could help and potentially give some insight.

Expected Behaviour

New device is added to the Google Admin Console, registered on the loaner portal and ready to be used from a GnG cart

Actual Behaviour

New device is added to the Google Admin Console, then enrolled in the loaner portal but when loading the loaner app on the device this results in the following message This device is not enrolled, please contact your administrator.

From the GCP logs the only thing we are seeing is an error which doesn't seem to be specific to the new device which reports "Encountered unexpected error from ProtoRPC method implementation: DirectoryRPCError (Precondition Failed)

Current devices seem to be unaffected and are working as expected. Are there any limitations around device model?

Steps to Reproduce

• Register device in Admin console,
• Add the registered device to the loaner portal,
• Begin startup proceedings for using the new loaner device
• Error received (This device is not enrolled, please contact your administrator)
