installing 1.4 leads to various issues related to auth.db, the screensaver unlock screen is replaced by a more standard authentication dialog asking for username and password, in some cases it will take the users password in others it will not. have to select switch user to log back in. In some cases cant unlock any system preference panes. Rebuilding auth.db fixes the issue but then Keychainminder does not work anymore.

I've had issues with that as well, since i think it's using the legacy (deprecated?) login style....I was going to remove the whole screensaver part on mine since it's twitchy. (I had it not take any passwords for any users). I figured out how to tweak the "update_authdb.py" code to ignore the whole screensaver part, but maybe it should be changed to either use the newer mechanism (or give it as an option), or maybe add another variable or two in "update_authdb.py" for either no screensaver or use the 'fancy' one instead of the legacy?

Unfortunately, this is working as intended (by Apple). This is the only way to an auth plugin recognized at screensaver (which is really the one KeychainMinder cares about). We're waiting for Apple to improve this as well.
