(feature request) render data source with manual metadata

due to some limitations in how render works, sometimes stack metadata is not available (when the stack is in a loading state) but for pipeline operations it is useful to leave it in a loading state. Therefore it would be useful to be able to pass stack bounds (or other metadata information that is required for render) by query parameter in the data_source, and have the data source initialized via that mechanism, rather than querying the service. The box calls to get images still work in the loading state so this would be a functional way of calling a data source. We would use this immediately at the Allen.
