Yes.

After 1.2.0 launch, which will happen very soon, we'll see if we can provide a Python binding on top of CLIF.

Will this also support Python in App Engine's standard environment?

Was somewhat surprised to find it launched without Python support considering that is a standard platform for so many of the Google offerings.

I know. We focused on Java and C++ because mobile is important to us. Now with them being done, we're looking forward to support Python and other languages.
