Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a new project with Unity 2019.3.0f3
  2. Import google-signin-plugin-1.0.4.unitypackage

This error is produced:

Library/PackageCache/com.unity.textmeshpro@2.0.1/Scripts/Editor/TMP_PackageUtilities.cs(310,17): error CS0433: The type 'Task' exists in both 'Unity.Tasks, Version=0.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' and 'mscorlib, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089'
  1. Delete the Parse folder (unchecking the folder when importing has the same effect)
  2. Import sample

Then this happens:

The full error message:

Even after quitting Unity, every time I open the project, these errors start up again. Any pointers as to how to fix this would be appreciated!

Fixed by deleting PlayServicesResolver and importing the latest package from https://github.com/googlesamples/unity-jar-resolver/releases.

I also had to enable Google sign-in for my Firebase project and add the SHA1 fingerprint from my keystore to the project settings to get rid of the DeveloperError: Exception of type 'Google.GoogleSignIn+SignInException' error.
