Text does not import into New Quizzes (but works fine with Old Quizzes)

I'm trying to break the quiz into sections using the field

This appears in Canvas Old Quizzes, but not in Canvas New Quizzes.

(NB I prefer the Old Quizzes format, and it works fine for my purposes, I don't understand the benefits of New Quizzes. But I am worried that Canvas will retire the Old format)

I don't think there's anything that can be done about this, since it seems to be based on how Canvas has designed the New Quizzes. I'm still using Old Quizzes myself. The last time I looked into New Quizzes, I don't think it was enabled for me, and it seemed that New Quizzes were not infrequently buggy or problematic for those who were using them.

Part of my goal with text2qti is to separate my own quiz material from the LMS so that it is more portable. Regardless of what Canvas does in the future, or how quiz formats change, I will still have my text files that have all of the quiz information, and then I can (hopefully) figure out how to convert that into whatever format I need, instead of relying on LMS quiz export capabilities (which may be lacking).
