Python file path info in "files_dict" and "diff.filename_pre" can not match when I use improve mode #1086

Policy and info

  • Maintainers will close issues that have been stale for 14 days if they contain relevant answers.
  • Adding the label "sweep" will automatically turn the issue into a coded pull request. Works best for mechanical tasks. More info/syntax at: https://docs.sweep.dev/

Expected Behavior

When I use improve mode,the open ai api could return code updated.But the updated code can not write into exist python file.I debug it, Python file path info in "files_dict" and "diff.filename_pre" can not match.

Hey, @bramble-river - are you seeing this issue with some newer gpt-engineer releases, too? You mentioned you are using 0.2.6.

Hi @bramble-river, thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. It appears that the GPT-engineer is unable to detect the content of your file, leading to an error in parsing the changes.

To assist us in identifying and replicating the issue, could you please upload debug_log_file.txt? You should find this file at the following path: your_project_path/.geteng/memery/logs/debug_log_file.txt. This file contains all the necessary information and will help us resolve the issue efficiently.
