This is a broad, long-term enhancement - error handling and trace output
are still pretty much as they were in the first few releases and could
really do with some love and attention.

Lepl 4 adds TraceVariables and FullMatchException which improve these aspects
considerably.

Could still do with some work on accumulating errors in the AST / forest (or
alternatives).
