Log file closed to early after deletion

We have detected that the tailer sometimes closes a deleted file too early. The log we are tailing is located on an network mounted NFS volume, and as the application rotates the log file it first flushes the cache to disk, which will be transferred in chunks over the network. As the network add latency it sometimes happen that the tailer will reach EOF multiple times while all the cache is being transferred over the network.
