Create new panel: Selecting sample query clears the macros

What happened:

When creating new panel with Timestream datasource, after selecting database, table and measure, then selecting one of the sample queries, the aforementioned macros reset (and the query subsequently fails). This doesnt happen when editing an already saved panel with the same datasource.

What you expected to happen:

Macros should be preserved when sql editor registers a change.

How to reproduce it (as minimally and precisely as possible):

Grafana: 9.3.0-pre,
Timestream ds: 2.3.2
Also reproduced in AWG (with Grafana 8.4)
