missing name-informations for objects #363
Comments
some names seem to be already rendered on higher zoom, min zoom may need adjusting for large objects natural=water http://www.openstreetmap.org/?mlat=53.7420&mlon=10.7525#map=15/53.7420/10.7525 natural=moor landuse=cemetery natural=heath natural=wetland |
And related an opposite type problem http://www.openstreetmap.org/way/224128563#map=15/52.9239/-1.4282 is a tiny amount of water displays on the map. at zoom lvl 15 |
which is a tagging problem and will probably never be entirely ruled out! regards Jan :-) |
What I meant really is that we need to look at way_area for these and all things really and render way-area ranges to specific zoom levels. |
Looking at way_area for water fill is wrong. As an example, parts of the Themes disappeared as you zoomed out when there was way_area in the WHERE clause for rendering water. It'd probably work for names. |
I didn't mean/say for filling area, just for using way_area to what zoom level we name it or not. I thought we were talking about how to name these areas. |
i missed name-information in the map for following tags:

in hope of more map-information
regards Jan :-)
