Intended Architecture/Usage for HTTP Proxy

Hi,

We're trying to get Kafka Clients to consume and produce through HTTP, and I'm trying to figure out how to integrate this proxy into our project.

What is the intended usage for the http proxy? Do we host the proxy on both client and kafka broker? Or do we just host it on one side? How do we make sure that traffic being routed is http? Any help would be appreciated!
