Feature Request: Configure behavior of Chores overview track button #2313

The green button on the chores overview page changed recently to a behavior I have never needed, and I almost always want to use the "Track chore execution now" behavior. It's really awkward that the most accessible button is not useful to me.

It would be really nice to be able to configure if the green button tracks the chore now, or at the next estimated execution time. And both options were in the drop down menu, so that either one is always accessible.

For an idea of my use case, all of my chores are set with a period of Days, so that if I do a chore either early or late, it is always scheduled the same time away.
Say I have a chore that is due on September 1st, with a period of 15 days, no matter when I do the chore, the green button will set the next due date to September 16th, not 15 days after the chore gets done.

Duplicate of #2311, please check existing requests before opening new ones.

See here to get what you want right now by utilizing custom JS.

Follow-up: #2424 was created to track adding some configuration options to make possible what was mentioned here.
