No it's just evolving slowly, as the time of the contributors is limited :) You can see here for the latest updates in the PRs the last weeks: https://github.com/grote/Transportr/pulls?q=is%3Aopen+is%3Apr+sort%3Aupdated-desc

Not dead, but it seems the owner is not directly involved in the project anymore. So only contributions will move it forward. Maybe if #872 gets merged, there will be more contributions. The new look might spike new interest in the project...
