Is it possible to use gruntjs in relation to unit testing in Visual Studio?

What is the exact point, that you're aiming for? You can define tasks in visual studio, and create an own task map of grunt-tasks to call. But I guess there is no visual studio integration for grunt, at least not as far as I know.
