E121: Undefined variable: v:vim_did_enter
E15: Invalid expression: v:vim_did_enter

This at version 7.4.1099, which is current default on Centos7

I believe vim_did_enter was introduced at 7.4.1658.

Thanks, I can have a fix up in a couple hours. I'll be more careful not to break that version.

the fix is not an improvement, I'm afraid:

Error detected while processing VimEnter Auto commands for "*":
E121: Undefined variable: true
