Use arangodb instead of neo4j as the graph db #302
Comments
awesome @anoop2811 ! we have a refactor about to happen to make that a lot easier! Here is the issue and the design doc that @mihaimaruseac has put together! We anticipate the API to be solidified by end January and implement it in Feb! So that could be a good opportunity for us to have 2 implementations being worked on together! I'd be happy to set some time up to have a chat to find out more about what you're working on! |
This is indeed fascinating. Will also serve to test that the API interface is modular to support backend transparency |
That would be great. Happy to discuss our plans and we are hoping GUAC can help us get there. cc: @saipraveen88 |
Related to issue #851 to determine which DB to support based on community input. |
I've tested ArangoDB and several other databases and the result is that ArangoDB is significantly faster. Full post at https://mihai.page/testing-graph-databases/ |
Closing as ArangoDB has been added as a graphDB to GAUC: https://github.com/guacsec/guac/tree/main/pkg/assembler/backends/arangodb |
Following the discussion from #194, we at Guidewire Software will look at contributing with arango as the backend db
